This VHM stroker crankshaft has a stroke of 52.70 mm. Together with the OEM KTM 105 factory kit (47649905044) with cylinder bore 52mm, the displacement change from 105cc to 112cc.
The crankshaft is designed with a middle inertia for an improved handling and performance and a better balance percentage for less vibrations. You'll notice the high quality, as the runout is within 0.01mm and it can be rebuild many times without losing the strength and stiffness.
Besides that, this crankshaft is assembled with a special lightweight connecting rod kit (CRK1402) and must be used with the massive big end pin to ensure the best balance factor for minimum engine vibrations.
The connecting rod weight has 20 grams less weight compared to the OEM connecting rod and improves throttle response.
Important note:
Don’t use 105SX piston from the 105 Factory kit, but use instead aftermarket Vertex 112SX piston 23879A
You must modify the piston skirt exhaust side to prevent piston skirt come in contact with the crankshaft, see picture for modification. Better top over revolutions Better handling Higher corner speed Longevity and accuracy Less vibration
